Despite brutal human rights violations by the Egyptian dictator al-Sisi, France continues to export arms to Egypt, with the approval of President Emmanuel Macron. This is a slap in the face for all those who have fought for democracy in the Middle East over the last 10 years. I spoke about this in my speech in the December plenary.  

European weapons should no longer be used against demonstrators in Egypt. Therefore, I demand, amongst other things, an arms embargo.
