It is important that we work with Saudi Arabia – the Gulf country is a major regional player. We need Saudi Arabia, for example when it comes to security in the Middle East or combating the climate crisis. But it is equally important to name the perpetrators of human rights violations, denounce oppressive structures and show solidarity with the victims. To make a difference as Team Europe, all our actions should be guided by 3 central questions.
