Gender equality is not the cherry on top of the cake. It’s the cake!
In the last plenary week before the end of the year, I held yet another speech about gender parity.
I’m sick and tired because in 2020, we still need to discuss why we need gender equality. Paying lip service is not enough. At the current speed, gender equality in EU national parliaments will take us another 60 years. That’s why we need a council configuration on gender equality – now!
