Executions in Iran: Silence leads to more violence

There is a culture of impunity in Iran, where the regime repeatedly harasses and tortures the country’s citizens – and sometimes even murders them in public executions: More than 300 people have been executed this year alone.

The international community cannot remain silent in the face of such atrocities!

We, the EU, must not turn a blind eye, but closely monitor the situation unfolding in Iran and ensure that perpetrators are sanctioned.

For silence only leads to more violence. If we fail to act, 300 executions may soon turn into 3000.
