It is clear that patriarchy also plays a major role in the climate crisis:
- 80% of the people displaced by climate change are women
- only 10% of the aid provided for local solutions goes to women
- and only 0.2% of funding goes to women-led organizations
Women are more active in the fight against climate change and more concerned about its consequences than men. Yet they still do not sit at the key decision-making tables.
