Why 2025 Is a Turning Point

Resolution 1325 turns 25 at a time of global repression, growing autocracy, and targeted anti-gender campaigns. The WPS agenda remains essential because it changes power structures — and that is precisely why it is being attacked. Europe must strengthen it, not sideline it.

We should not only celebrate 1325. We must renew, defend, and advance the agenda — for sustainable peace and genuine participation.
