The war in Syria has been going on for 10 years now. It is not enough to just throw money at the problem – I made that clear to EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell in my plenary speech. Ahead of the adoption of the European Parliament’s resolution on Syria, I outlined the steps we should take now. Implementing these proposals is the least we can do for the people who have stood up against the Assad regime for the last 10 years. More in the video below:
